On the other hand people have been bent driving from the Isthmus to Avalon on Catalina.

what altitude do you have to go through to do that?
I dived Catalina few years ago but don´t remember the names...

Thanks, all. I was pretty sure we were OK but my dive buddy brought up the point so I figured I'd go to the source of all dive knowledge--ScubaBoard!

As far as parasailing being a waste of time: my wife doesn't dive but I can, at least, get her to parasail with me so I won't be in trouble for going to Hawaii with her and spending all my time diving.

I've raced cars and motorcycles, sky dived and scuba dived but haven't tried parasailing--it's looks like another thing I need to try!
