There is a jetry going out to the island (or close to it, can't quite tell from Google maps and my memory doesn't serve me).

Obviously you can't walk on the jetty with gear. But you could go along it and. It worry about getting run over by a boat. It is a good distance in total, along the jetty to along the island to get to the west side. Looks like 1.5 miles plus.

@rjack321, that sound right to you?
Yeah its basically 1.5 miles to the island. Then presumably you'd go partly or all the way around the island and back on the (interior/south) side of the Jetty. The riskiest parts would be at the north tip and exposed NE side of Waddah. It would be a major trip and I'd want at least one towed backup scooter per 2 divers. Towing someone that far would be a serious rescue

For those unfamiliar this is Neah Bay /Waddah

In all seriousness, I would scooter out to Waddah Fingers. Have you tried it?

No, I'm out of state, and the last time I was in Washington I focused mostly on the Sund Rock area, since I knew it would likely be good diving (as opposed to travel for what could turn out to be nothing). From Google Maps it looks like Baadi Point out is only half as long, but it isn't at all clear there's parking nearby. Speaking of deposits, though, when I was up there I signed up for a boat, but it cancelled due to not enough people being signed up. I was surprised, since I'd have thought the Seattle area has a lot of divers. I had to press a bit to get a refund.

I’ve been with Living the Dream divers in GC many times. They require all of your dive days to be booked in advance for boat/diver planning but I’ve never paid up front. My buddy once acquired a cold and could not dive, had to scrub a few days… no problem. Full payment after your last dive day … such a fabulous customer oriented business.
Living the Dream is a fabulous outfit! Their new lodging, Ocean Cabanas, is beautiful.

I had never ever paid any deposit diving in SE Asia unless it is LoB which require full payment before the trip commenced.
I did not pay anything for my trip to Raja Ampat including the transfer by boat from Waisai to the Homestay on the island.
