I just took a look at some information from a data buoy off of Lake Worth. It's telling me that the surface water temperature is in the upper 60's. Is that what others are seeing?
Looks like the water temp took a plunge. Chilly air temps too. Diving conditions not looking good either

Latest reports for BHB on Book of Faces was yesterday and temps reported were 69-70. So that looks consistent with the buoy reading. Time to break out the 7mm or drysuit!

BRRRRR!!!
I heard dives were aborted at the bridge today. Vis in the 1ft range.

Oooof. That might be it for me for several weeks. I was freezing in 74 degree water last weekend. 68-70 is a no-go, even in a 7mil.

Time for a drysuit.
I've gone down to 35 degree water in a 1/4" farmer John, but I can't call it a pleasurable experience. Survivable would be a better description.

The problem with going to a thicker wet suit or a dry suit, is the amount of lead I would need to carry. I think I was over 25# with the 1/4" suit

I ain't 30 anymore, when freezing my body parts was just part of the fun.

Around 30 ft vis today, slight to moderate current, blueish green water, Similar marginal visibility both north and south of the PB Inlet.

Found 15-20 very large nurse sharks scattered in a relatively small area along a reef in a little over 100 feet - seemed quite unusual, also saw a really big bull or maybe a tiger? I was happy it didn't get close enough to allow me to definitely identify it, but buddy said he saw a tiger on the prior dive.

Not too many lobsters, water is cool, 5 mm suit with hooded vest is just barely enough to be comfortable for me.
