Crepidula fornicata shell the size of a golf ball.

What are fornicata shells? Are these some type of crab or clam that has come out of its shell or what?:11:
 
It's just a slipper shell :wink: The species name comes from the fact that they are protandrous hermaphrodites and they all hang around in a big pile to mate etc. I'm sure you've seen them everywhere. Whomever wanted the golf balls can either go get thier own ar Taylor Point or can demand that I hand them over if they see me at Ft. Wetherill :wink:
