The next question, who are you going to talk to? I'm assuming you have a buddy that's going to get the same system.

Yes, My brother-in-law and I are looking to make the jump. We mostly dive locally in So-Cal around Laguna Beach. We have seen a need at times that communication would be valuable. I understand I should expect some limitations but when some elaborate communication is needed, they sure would come in handy.

As far as the serenity of the traditional dive model as noted by Spratman, I receive stimuli on so many levels from diving that curbing one of them and opting for communication, I feel, will not diminish my experience.
