Hi,I went with the 90L and pair it with a 70L or 100L Patagonia Black Hole duffle if I am also packing for kids or girlfriend. The combination allows me to carry a ridiculous amount of gear but I am good shape. Not sure everyone could handle two large bags comfortably. If $ were no object I would buy the Patagonia Black Hole 100L but at double the price went with the Osprey. The Black Hole duffle bags are on sale now with a bit of searching.
I want to buy the Transporter 90L but most airlines have a luggage restriction of 62 linear inches. According to Osprey's listed dimensions, the linear inches is closer to 64". I was wondering if you had any issues checking this? Did you have to pay more? I'm flying American and their website states luggage over 62 linear will incur extra $30. If I use this bag everutime I fly, that adds up and I'd rather not purchase. Thanks in advance!
