is the picture on your hard drive? if you moved the picture after the over lay,it might keep it from working. other than that you might need someone more computer literate.

NO, I didn't move the image but it is on another drive other than my computer's hard dive. I just mapped to it so I am wondering if that is the problem.

I'll bet that is the problem. after i start a photo DVD project, if i do anything with a picture in the program, the program can't find anymore.
