sorry, i was referring to the "old" LP 72's. scubapro does make a hp 72

Yeah, that's what I was asking about. I do know that you can still buy steel LP66's.
 
72's are great tanks. I know several people who have them rigged as doubles for shallower stuff.

Nice and small, good bouyancy characteristics and you can get away with overpumping them a bit.
 
I dive a set of double 2240 PSI 72's. I love them. I use them to practice doubles diving. Actually i personally prefer a set of doubles over a single tank, stability wise. Drawback is weight, doubles are heavy and i am not superman, not sure how i am going to do this with double 104's when i am ready to do the deeper stuff the proper way :) guess it's back to the gym for 'ol me :( :D
 
no tank is obsolete .any tank that is in hydro and will pass a proper vis is a good tank.
