I find the ad tacky.

One of the funniest things I ever saw on here was when whats her name posted herself licking her Halcyon inflator, I mean that worked on many levels for me.

Another fav of mine is my old Doing It Right dvd series with GI opining with his shirt off in front of his couch in the garage, lol. PEOPLE are just funny!

I bought it for the content...no rule you can't laugh anyway. Can we have a smilie of him?

Thats all great and fine, but I'm not sure the recreational world (well, the newer divers) is ready to dive rebreathers. They're a bit more complicated than the standard reg, bc & tank combo....... so I'm not very keen on seeing ads for any rb on a recreational site....
Good for KISS that their marketing gimmick worked, but I certainly hope they have warnings on the dangers of rb's on their site as well...
Dont need Joe Blow who has 8 dives going out to buy a rb because he saw bikini lady and her rb in the ad, showing him that "hey anyone can dive a rebreather!".....

I don't believe the ad stated that everyone could dive a rebreather. Although, it's NOT that complicated. Remember: Stupid people do stupid things. Stupid people do stupid things on open circuit as well as rebreathers.

If Joe Blow goes goes through an agency with 8 dives, he's not going to get trained or certified to dive a rebreather immediately. For well regarded agencies, you need the equivelant of at least Advanced Nitrox to get through the rebreather door. Other than that, you're not going to stop someone from buying a used rebreather and going down the DIY route.

Oh, and don't look now but we have a Rebreather forum on this "recreational" site.

Absolutely! That was quite an investment we made. Time and $$$$ and Tums to settle the stomach.
