I find that the SAC rate calculator isn't accurate on v 2.1.8. I run the exact numbers in my Excel spreadsheet and I get different numbers.

tell me if I am correct:
tank size: 133
PSI rating: 3442
Avg. Depth: 40
time: 49
PSI used: 1600psi
start pres: 3400
End press: 1600
SAC rate from oceanlog: .813
SAC rate from my Calcs: .57
I have attached my calculator that I used.

Am i wrong with my calcs or is oceanlog off?

If you used 1600 psi your SAC would ber 0.570 as you calculated.
If you used 1800 psi (3400-1600) your SAC would be 0.641
Oceanlog calculation or 0.813 is wrong, not really sure how that number would be calculated. I would have expected 1.419 or 1.262 which is the actual air consumption in cu ft per minute prior to adjustment for depth. That was the original point of this thread.

Oceanic has finally responded to me and they now have fixed in 2.1.9 which I presume will be released sometime soon.

OC

you both are right. I have a type. as long as it isn't me, and it is oceanlog... I hope they fix it soon. I would guess i will have reenter everything again.

More on the metric issue:

The export for a tank that is entered correctly in metric mode looks like this:
Start Pressure: 2999.275 PSI
End Pressure: 1000 PSI
Cylinder Size: 0.3743356 FT
Working Pressure: 14.3 PSI

which means that the program is storing things wrong internally. Your program should store things internally the same regardless of the output units. Also, I did this export in metric mode, so I should expect to see metric units, not imperial.

great. now everything is in metric.

I wouldn't download this if i were you.

How do i change it back to imperial?

ok, got it changed back to imperial. now all my numbers (temp, tank size) etc all end in .99 or something. the conversion obviously got messed up.

Can you please wait to post until it is kink free?

I think i know what that is, and i think i sent it to you. if i didn't send you what you wanted could you be more clear about what it is you want? I'm not a programer.
