Oceanic Computers

I recommend against this computer. I bought a new Oceanic Pro Plus in June 2007 and the computer flooded after 6 dives. So the dive shop replaced it no problem...I dove with it for 30 dives and then today it broke. It would not register any air pressure today. I took it to an Oceanic dealer and they said the transducer went bad. So, now I need to get another new one.

I really do like the computer...when it works. The reliability????You make your own judgement.

I have had a VT3 for about a year. No problems whatsoever, no issues with linking. I like it and would buy one again. I don't find the software great, though (not really user friendly) but I think it is improving with each update.

It has a lifetime guarantee! I had one with a bad battery door and they replaced it! They stand behind there computers! The one I have has over 500 dives on it!

Atom 1.0, Atom 2.0, and of course my ancient yet reliable Prodigy. I dont really think there is any problem with Oceanic computers. There is just a hell of a lot of them out there and of course any time some one has a problem they want to b***h and moan as much as possible because they are upset.
