Thanks for the condolences everyone. I've listed it as lost here and on the Northwest D2D list. I figure the circle of divers is big enough that if anyone hears about one being found they'll direct them to me. I also posted a picture of the case and my phone number in the foyer of Alki Crab & Fish.

If it shows up on ebay already then its probably someone who isn't looking for the owner.

Anyway... I sure missed it on today's dives. I borrowed OE2X new coolpix 7900 for half a dive to see how I liked it. I sure miss my Optio.

Doc Intrepid:
Sorry Pug, that sucks. Hope someone finds it and gets it back to you.

You've had a rough couple weeks with equipment, no?

Hang in there.

Nah ... he's just had a mild case of "Murphy's Disease" ... most likely something he picked up from associating with one of his dive buddies who's been breaking a lot of gear lately ... :11:

I'm so happy I don't even mind the embarassment. :D

Ummmm... Bob, would you please remove my flyer from the foyer of Alki Crab & Fish.

Let me guess... You had it the whole time.

Oh yeah definitely. The question is where did he hide it from himself?

No, neither do we! :D C'mon...fess up!

I'm very glad you got it back....found it....whatever!

Sometimes things are lost so that they can be found.

I remember setting it on the side of OE2X's pickup. I remember putting it in grass because I didn't want it to fall off of the pickup.

I also remember wrapping it up in my undergarment and thinking I need to be careful not to forget this and then let the housing drop out when I get my stuff out of the truck.

But that memory didn't help because it was not with my undergarment when I went to go diving two days later. So my remembering went back to the grass and I figured I must have set it down and left it.

What I forgot about was hanging my undergarment on the back porch to air out. But before I did I remembered that the housing was wrapped up in it so I carefully put it in a basket on the back porch.... were it went unseen.

Unseen that is until yesterday evening when I took a spider outside. Spiders are permitted to live in our house as long as they remain unseen... but when they show themselves they must be banished. I took the now banished spider out onto the back porch and put it in the basket....

OH JOY..... happy happy joy joy. :D

This is the case (no pun intended) in many instances of items I've lost, congratulations on NOT losing your camera case. And I do know how you feel, I can just see the glee as that camel runs around the backyard, hopping up and down, too funny.
