That really sucks Uncle Pug, sorry to hear about it.

Can't set anything down at Cove 2 anymore, I had a buddy lost a drysuit and dive computer that way.

Dare I say it?

Was that "Droping It Right"?????

I hope you find it and soon.

Sorry to hear about this. I remember seeing that housing at the first Orca Bait dive. It looks a lot like my S5i housing.

I'm afraid to ask if you have any i.d. on it for someone to find you. It's funny that my housing does but my camera doesn't. I hope it shows up for you. :thumb:

OK that answers my question in the I-beam thread... you do have the S5i. Nope... no id in the housing. I have a nice label printer gathering dust here though.

Dang, Pug !!! You'd better give up diving while you can still afford it.

I know how you must feel. I didn't lose mine, but I did go down on a dive in the Blue Hole a while back and noticed a few bubbles coming out of my housing. My son was on his way down just ahead and wasn't watching me, so I'm glancing at the camera....son.....camera?....son?...so I went after my son, knowing the camera was a goner. But at least I can live with knowing I chose my son over the camera in that situation.....you, on the other hand.......haha (sorry). bummer Uncle Pug.

Uncle Pug:
After diving with NWGD, OE2X and Shane I took the camera out of its housing to better look at the pictures. I have this vague memory of setting the housing down... and grass comes into my mind.
Forgetfulness, vague memories. Sounds like narcosis to me!

Maybe 0.79ata of N2 is just too much for you.
You're gonna have an outrageous gas bill trying to maintain a 0.5ata ppN2 narcosis limit!

Yeah, the S5i has been my land cam since I am accustomed to shooting marine with the Olympus. I guess I just need to get it down and start practicing with it. But I do know that the Pentax U/W housing (OWP-2) was more expensive than the Olympus (PT-016). But the Olympus leaked when I first got it so I replaced it once, still leaked so I fixed it by putting fatter o-rings in the plungers. I trust that won't be necessary with the Pentax housing.

Sorry to hear this UP! The other day I was sitting in the fish shack eating chowder and checking shots I'd taken after my dives. I finished up and made my way back to the car are prepared to leave. On the way out - OH My God - where is my camera??? I ran back into the restaurant and it was still there! The feeling is terrible and I can really sympathize with you. My hope is that someone finds and returns it. My advice (which I’m sure you’ve already done) is that you post it on ALL the chat sites. My last ditch suggestion would be (thinking it’s like the Olympia housing) that if it’s not real expensive, you may be able to find one in good condition on eBay. Either way, I am sorry to hear of your loss.
