Stands for Diving Equipment Manufactures Association. It's the biggest diving trade show in the country. Only diving and travel related professionals are allowed to attend. This year it's beeing held in Miami so people from all over the world are going to be in South Florida in October attending the DEMA show.

I'm still going to mention the Grove dive to a few others to see if I can get anyone else interested in the trip.

Why not just look at look at doing another dive on the Grove the next morning instead of diving the Bibb? The grove is big enough that you could dive it everyday for a month and not see it all. Might be nice to do both a night and a day dive on different areas of the wreck.

Thanks,

As to Grove instead of Bibb...
I'm not sure one precludes the other.
If you want to do the next AM back on the Grove I'm game..
But I still plan on trying to do Bibb sometime that week, I haven't seen it yet.

I completely agree with your assesment of the Grove, I've done it 5 times so far & don't feel I have even scratched the surface.

Hopefully Brent will get my e-mail tonight and join us on this thread. (KeyLargoBrent) Then we can start nailing down a specific day. There is one other guy in Key Largo interested in doing the dive but he is teaching an IDC that week so it might not work out.

Keep in touch.

We could spend two more dives in the well deck alone, and a deep dive would be cool to see how it's settled. Following the crain out there into the void would be amusing as well. We've been twice, down three times. Two were just out to the stern and back at different depths with minimal penetration, and once deep into the well deck. A night dive would be wasted in the well deck, of course... it's night time there all the time.

This could be very cool... different dives for different people depending on experience and desire.

We're thinking about it...

I just contacted a dive shop in South Carolina I used to teach at a few years ago to see if anyone was interested in joining us. I don't know the guy I talked to but he was interested and told me that the Instructor I was looking for now owns the store. He asked me to fax the info to them and they might be interested in going with us.

How many can the boat hold? I wouldn't want to wind up with to many people and have to turn someone away.

I'm going to fax them the preliminary information and once we get some of the details nailed down I'll get back with them if they're still interested.

I would like to go and if you get the dates down. Just post them or I will keep reading to post. Dove the SG. on 26-07-03. With Quiescence. And I aso would use my doubles.

Do you have a preference between the 9th, 10th or 11th?

The 10th would be good for me too.

I'm still waiting to hear from a few people on their interest in going. The owner of the dive shop won't be back until the 4th of August so it will be a few more days until I hear from him. There is one local guy that has a funkey schedual like mine, works weekends and has weekdays off, that I'm sure will want to go. I'll let you know what I find out as soon as I hear from them.

Have you found out anything deffinate on the max number of people that the boat can take and how much per person? Is the price based on the number of people we have? ie. the more we have the cheaper it will be.

I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of questions from some of these people so any info you can give me would sure help out.

Thanks,

Scott

I am still waiting on an answer from Blue Water Divers.

Apparently most ops don't like deep night dives for liability reasons. But I am hoping with the experienced people who are interested they will agree to do this.

Hopefully I will get a confirmation this weekend. We will try for Wed evening the 10th. As far as the daylight dive , Morning of the 10th or 11th? I'm there all week so it makes no diff to me.

I will let you know as soon as I get the word.
