Hello all,

I am from the cold areas of Upstate NY and live right where that lake in the middle of the state is north of Syracuse. I no of noone that would dive there so most of us dive in the finger lakes or Lake Ontario, but my favorite is St.Lawerence River in the Thousand Islands. I just put my wet suit up and will venture out this spring after my dry suit course. I will be reading the boards but I do not always make alot of posts.

Welcome Chuckrt from Herts, England.

You can get some great info from the folks hereabouts and there is also a lot of banter, just post when you want to, pretty soon it gets addictive.

Neil

From London, Chuckrt

And boy is Neil right. I think I spend more time posting than I do working! I'm sure the rest of the gang will be along in a minute to introduce themselves - bear in mind that we're all mostly harmless and jump in when you want to!

Welcome to the board,

Amoeba

Chuckrt,
Welcome from NJ.
Enjoy the board, and ,if the spirit moves you, post away. I took quite a while to start posting, and now, it's fun! Here, you can post a little, or a lot, or just enjoy the fun.In any case, welcome.
Good luck,
Miked

Hey chuckrt

A warm welcome from the other side of the big blue. Like you, I wasn't expecting to do many postings, but eversince I joined 10 days ago, I now have an average of 1.21 postings per day (I checked my profile...lol), which surprised even me!

Just like neil, amoeba and miked, I seem to be spending more time on the board than doing any work (ok I confess...I'm also hooked to this damn thing). So have lotsa fun mate!

Cheers
Thresher

Hi, Chuck! A warm, sunny welcome from California! I see from your post that you are the strong, silent type--well, just ask anybody around this Board and you will discover that I have the same reputation: only posting on those odd occasions when some critical information is required; dead serious all the time; very terse in my comments; and definitely no use of frills and fripperies such as little blue men with winking eyes and frogs sticking their tongues out--none of that stuff!

But watch out for some of the other guys who are more verbose than I am--and very demanding when it comes to spelling and grammar!

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride out to the dive site for the day: ScubaBoardInternational Reef...

Joewr...oh, yes, Chuck, watch out for people who tend to think that using three dots (...) is an acceptable form of punctuation.

joe, no doubt about it...you da man! i take my neoprene hood off to you for your literary prowess (yikes! hope i spelled that right...ehehe) ...damn keyboard...it's doin' it again...stupid dots...keep appearing...between words...argh!

:D

Welcome from the Northwest! Sorry about that extended surface interval you have going on there!

Don't you have a Macro for the dots Thresher?

-kate

I did try my macros on the three dots but with boring results--three black circles using my 16x lenses (oh man...that was corny :bonk: )

Just playin' around with joewr's comments, but thanx for your concern Kate.

:)

Joewr. Is it nice to pick on the three dot person (dottiest, perhaps?) when people, who shall remain nameless, have been going around droping their u's?

Thresher, what was wrong with that? I'm sure it was really late at night... wasn't it?

:D
