Just logged in here.
I am just getting back in to diving.
Used to dive a lot in the 60s and 70s in southern Saskatchewan.
Back then I took all my training through the YMCA in Moose Jaw.
There was an RCMP officer (Ron Lawford) that started the club in the YMCA in Moose Jaw. He was also involved in starting the Underwater Council of Sask. (I think)

I now live in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.

I have 2 sons that are interested in diving now, so I have to get back into it too.

We have been having lots of fun exploring and spearfishing.

The clearer lakes in northern Saskatchewan are a lot of fun to dive in. Gotta have a wetsuit (or dry suit).

Some great diving at Whiteswan Lake, NE of here and Sandy Lake in the Prince Albert National Park, Waskesui.

Regards to all,
Ron

That's a delightful story. I can't think of a better reason to get back into diving than to share the sport with your sons. I would love to hear more about the Underwater Council of Sask & your friend, Ron. Sounds like you have a piece of underwater history that others would enjoy hearing about.
:D
