Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been working in Silicon Valley for the past couple of years, but living in the Fresno area. I finally managed to sell my home and I now call Monterey my home. I also am currently going through my open water cert and am all geared up and anxious to get in the water as much as possible.

I am very anxious to start making some new Dive buddies and begin on my road of enjoyment under the waves. If anyone needs a buddy in 2 more weeks feel free to send me a PM. I am available almost every Friday and with notice the weekends.

Welcome Noobie....

DONT FORGET TO BREATHE!!!! HAHAHAHA

:shelli: C-ya in the big Margarita Bowl w/o the tequila :shelli:

If you make it out to Thailand send me a PM. The wrecks in Pattaya are pretty good not to mention the other great places to dive in these parts. All though a bit far from you, check out our section in the Thai forum. I think the travel section in general will be very useful for you as look to find other places to venture out to.

Good luck,

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Diving has been something ive wanted to do for years, and after going in Jamaica on my honeymoon I have been hooked. It was absolutely amazing down there, and I can't wait to start exploring the coast of Monterey.

You're in for a real treat. I too have just begun exploring in the Monterey area dive sites and it's very exciting having such great waters so close to home.

SteveN and anyone else actually...

My co-worker and I who are in the same class currently are planning a trip for the 11th (Friday) and 12th (Saturday).

Friday will most likely be Breakwater
Saturday we have yet to decide.. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Anyway assuming that nothing happens to us, or our instructor in the mean time  we will be diving for sure at the least those days, and possibly Sunday too. Anyone who would like to come with some newbies is welcome. He lives in San Jose and I live here in Monterey. So the two of us would make some good long term buddies as well :).

Welcome BBianchi - Both to Diving and to ScubaBoard. We've been trying to have some Meet and Greets every so often around the various sites in Monterey, and you are welcome to join us when you are certified. You generally do not need to bring a buddy, and it is a great opportunity to meet other divers, try out different sites, etc. etc. etc.

Just keep an eye on the threads in here while we do planning. cheers!

Sarah,

Thanks for the invite and the warm welcome. You have quite the impressive Dive blog I must say as well. Makes me even more anxious to get out in the water. I have also plans to shortly after getting my open water continue to the Advanced course and Enriched Air courses. I just want to be up to speed with the other divers in the area and it seems to be that most are fairly intermediate or advanced.

Ill keep an eye out for the next meet and greet!
