YMMV. I'm just going on what he said direct to me, "I don't want you guys here because you only come in for fills and never buy anything." Maybe he has since changed his mind.

7x EAN32 doubles fills ($20) x5 days - $700
7x EAN50 AL40 fills ($10) x3 days - $210
7x Argon AL6 fills ($6+) x5 days - $210
---------------------------------------------
Total for one class's gas needs - $1120 give or take

I choose to take my business to Bamboo Reef now. I went to Aquarius for over a year and a half until I was told that "our" business was not wanted.

Wow thats pretty bad. I mean filters and gas have a cost, but I would imagine there is still money to be made in selling fills. Especially good dry tech fills.

Hahaha. You have to be careful around here with your avatar... It could set off a really long thread ala http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/norcal/212317-jim-ernst-avatar.html ! :D

Wecome to ScubaBoard my friend and to the nuts of the Nor-Cal forum.!

Well the time has come!

Tomorrow and Sunday im out in the deep blue abyss! (Wonder how many more movies with diving I could have gotten in one sentence  ).

Car is all gear'd up and ready to go for my early morning Breakwater arrival. If anyone see's me ill be in a Henderson wetsuit with an Oceanic BCD, say hi. Then Sunday ill be certified... so who wants to go diving Friday??

I am very anxious to start making some new Dive buddies and begin on my road of enjoyment under the waves. If anyone needs a buddy in 2 more weeks feel free to send me a PM. I am available almost every Friday and with notice the weekends.

I've been lurking around this board for about a month or so and finally decided to create an account and jump in...

Just got certified through Diver Dan's last month and I can't wait to get back in the water. I'm also looking for dive buddies to go with as I don't know anyone outside of my open water class who goes diving.

Since I'm just starting out, I'm not looking to do any difficult diving. Just some easy dives so I can get more practice at basic skills, get comfortable in the water, get my buoyancy under control, gain dive experience, you know, all the newbie stuff.

I'm a Saturday/Sunday diver and am available just about any weekend to go diving. I generally don't need a lot of notice, just enough to pack up my gear and drive to Monterey, so if you decide at last minute you want to go diving, I'm up for it! I live in Sunnyvale so it will take me a little while to drive to Monterey, depending on traffic.

I really wanted to join you guys this weekend for the 12th and 13th (seen in another thread). But unfortunately I haven't fully tested out all my new gear in the pool yet and will not have time to do it before the weekend. :( But if you guys plan something for the following weekend or weekend after that or weekend after that (etc..) and are looking for a buddy, I'm in! So long as you don't mind another newbie tagging along.

I know we wouldn't mind at all. As of now, all things permitting I will be diving every friday and at least one saturday/sunday. You are more than welcome to join us, ill keep you updated.

Also, I dont know how much you would like to go but there are plenty of local shops that can rent you anything you need. I know its not your own gear, but it gets you in the ocean.
