Yes, I know, instruction is hard to come by this time of year (soooo the smart *** comments reminding me of this fact are welcome but not appreciated haha), but if any of you work at or know of a dive shop that is offering Advanced Open Water through PADI before my spring break diving adventure in March please let me know. I will go pretty much anywhere as long as it is on weekends...MA, NH, CT, RI, NY...whatever...I will work around your schedule. But I DO need the full cert by then-class, water and everything.

I am also in the market for a dry suit, so most likely if any of you LDS owners can get me in this class really soon, I will probally buy it from you!!

Why do you need your AOW in a big hurry? What do you plan to do?

RIOceanographer:
Ocean State Scuba in Jamestown, RI will usually schedule a private course on request:

http://www.oceanstatescuba.com/

I've been taking private lessons there and they are very accomodating schedule-wise

What about Cape Ann, divers, they are located in Gloucester, that is pretty clos to you.

You could call AL at South Shore Divers, in Weymouth MA. He's a DUI dealer as well.

And, yes, I would also be curious to know why you are in such a hurry.

okay okay, to anwser you're well warranted questions about why I am in such a hurry.. When I'm going out with people around here that I know...I most likely won't have a problem with them letting me go past 60 feet...but when i'm on vaca with a dive shop that has no idea of who I am and my abilities (and I totally understand and respect them adhearing to PADIs rules), I don't want to be limited by PADIs 60ft OW limit-if im gonna pay a ridiculous amount for a vaca I want the training and certs be more flexable in my diving habits-not to mention the kid I am going with is a master diver and I don't want to have him held back b/c of me. At the end of last summer I had knee surgery so I couldn't dive, but since I had that time off it gave me time to buy my gear and now im just a little sick of being stopped from doing more fun dives b/c of my cert...

Cape Ann, I know, is closed until Feb 1st (they are a great shop, I totally recommend stopping in and checking them out) and while I don't know what they charge for AOW, they charge 800 for their OW course (!!!!) which I find to be kind of ridiculous for OW. They say that the cost is b/c it is private lessons but I paid $295 at Undersea divers in Beverly (also a great dive shop-def check them out at well) and there was only 1 other person in the class...

also do any of you know what Ocean State Scuba charged for AOW?

I Don't deal with Cape Ann Divers to much but Bob @ UnderSeas is a great guy to deal with. Good luck getting your AOW this time of year.
