I am definitely interested. We have a couple sit-on-tops, but unfortunately they are the smaller Yak-Boards. (You can tell which sport came first.) I would be a learner-doer, not a leader.

Hmm... the yak-boards have almost no cargo space. I can hardly imagine carrying tanks, weights, ancor, and other such. If you are a handy-man type, you might be able to adapt one of the yaks as a cargo boat and tow it with a second one. You will need a lot of straps.

Just a thought ... not sure if it would work well in practice.

I figure I could hold about a spare air and my fins on the yak board. Otherwise, it's time for an upgrade (I had actually already figured that out).

Now I'm cruising the "used" boards for a larger sit-on-top.

Pebble Beach is a good place because the reef is out there and the parking. Also going out of Manchester Harbor, parking behing the police station, makes for a nice paddle out to House Island and a good scollop dive from the kayak.

FYI: The freedivers frequently dive off of kayaks, particularly in RI where the fishing is good. I have a Necky Dolphin but don't seem to get out as often as I hoped, it's a lot of work and I was fighting shoulder injuries the last two summers. I haven't tried scuba off it yet.

David Swain at Ocean State Scuba wrote the PADI kayak diving manual and teaches at his shop in Jamestown, Note I haven't taken his course just know it is offered.

I live up in York Maine within travel distance of north shore and would love to hook up with someone to kayak dive. I have a scrambler xt that I'm starting to experiement with. I have good kayaking skills and though my cert is somewhat new am very comfortable in the water doing much surfing & kayaking.

Would love to hook up with someone to kayak dive with.

Perhaps Oceancurrent? Anyone else interested?

Sounds good. However, I am all tied up in training through October. So, I won't be taking out my kayak until spring.

Did a few kayak dives this summer - I wish I had done more. Hard to find buddies for this activity.

Keep in touch.

Anyone else?

I'm looking to go the weekend after the next, the 16th or 17th.
