does anyone have a good website for various (RI, Southern MA, North Shore MA, etc) local coastal water and weather conditions? I've been hoping to find something with surface temps (and at depth if possible). I know that folks have posted various sites and stupid me never bookmarked them.

I usually use http://www.erh.noaa.gov/box/fcsts/BOSCWFBOX.html for Mass coastal weather conditions but they dont have ocean temperature....

thanks all

Unfortunately, the temperature sites are not particularly useful for divers, as the surface can often be in the 60s and 20 ft below, it'll be 45. As a rule, I assume the water will be 48 at the highest in the summer and early fall and as low as 36 in the winter and spring.

These are good numbers for temps at depth in Mass. RI waters tend to be about 6-8 degrees warmer.

I dunno, I've never seen it 68 degrees in August. Usually the Poling @ 90fsw makes it to like 50-52 max.

I meant Rhode Island water temps compared to Mass temps. It is such a nice treat to dive in RI (for me this means around Block Island).
