Hey, Brent, did you see the weight pockets on my shoulder straps? Just throw a weight in there, and you don't have to mess with those obstinate straps.

If you have a 54" cord on it, then clip it to the bottom of the rails and don't loop it around your arm. You have more than enough cord to do that. My cord is a little shorter and I'm a little taller than you and I have plenty of cord. I route the cord to the front of my rig, under my waist strap, under my chest strap, and along my arm to my hand, left side.
Argon for SoCal? Not if you have a decent undergarment, or unless you're planning 2+ hour dives.
I would like to see an answer to the argon question, though ... come winter, I like using argon here in Puget Sound ...

Assuming you have your can light on your butt, somewhere, where does one mount an argon bottle?
I'm thinking I'll need it for So Cal diving . . . .
