Still new to side mount so didn't know I wouldn't need a butt pack for it, thanks for letting me know (reason i assumed I did was I do not dive dry suit so I don't have pockets)

Thank you for the detailed response, I did not know you could drop the wing down on the Ray so I may go with that one, although is something similar to the storage system for the canister on the Xdeep avalible for the ray?
Another good idea, get a pair of the neoprene tech shorts. Pockets are pretty nice to have and the extra leg buoyancy might serve you well. I don’t use a buttplate regardless of if I’m diving wet or dry either.

There’s a segmented d ring on my razor harness that holds my reels spools and pigtail. It works just fine, plus at the start of my dive I use my sliding d rings to hold some items too. With my LP85’s it takes a long long time before they get butt-floaty enough to pull them off my lumbar rectangle rings and move them to my dive rite sliders.

I run the two rectangles and 4 sliding D’s on the waist. Most of the time the sliders are put together and function as one ring, but if the need arises to clip more tanks on, then I separate the d rings and can use them independently. Total of 6 clip off points plus room for tailing a couple of buoyant bottles
