Cleaning up my gear now. I will go through the pics to see if any worth posting. Yesterday I watched a small bottom dweller fish, about 2"-2.5" long that looked like a sea robin without the color. Sandy colored. It had feelers out front like a goat fish and moved only mostly on the feelers. Any idea what it might be? It was by the boat ramp in about 3' of water.

Can anyone identify the skate like critter in the first 4 shots? The little bottom fish that was sea robin like is in the next photos. Then just a couple shots of the scenery.

Sea robin for sure. The skate judging by the marks I can see is I think a clearnose skate. Nice pictures.

Your welcome. I saw a school of juvenile barracuda / pike looking fish there last week. The DEM was there with a net. They caught a few but didn't know what kind of fish it was. I haven't found any fish like it in any reference material I've looked at for the North Atlantic.

Planning on giving the seahorse and tropical hunt another try tomorrow AM FT W. Weather and forecast look great.

Beautiful morning at FT W. First in although there were a couple divers gearing up. Vis down to maybe 5-6'. One tropical, juve butterfly fish the size of a quarter tucked in a rock crevice on a wall about 12' down. After the first dive, the parking lot was full, half kayakers half divers. A film crew as well. A marine specialist was being filmed about what she and a group were doing, something to do with Northern Star coral. Total dive time 70 mins on a 63. 48 first dive, 22 second. Water temp 68. Great to be out and under.

Just checked the few pics I took and while not clear I did capture a blurry image of the butterfly fish. I original thought it was a banded because of the prominent vertical dark band on the front and back but it also had yellow so more likely a reef or spot fin, at least that is my best guess.

One last trip planned to Ft. W. a week from today. Hoping for better weather than what is predicated this weekend, a few tropicals and that elusive seahore.
