I originated at Lubbock Texas, where they hand inspect bags, and the new guy went thru the bag prior to mine with gusto. He slowed down on mine, but still looked right at the tank - valve removed, but did not look under the black tape covering the neck to see inside. :weakest: The bag passed thru DFW and Atlanta, arriving on time in Montreal. No worries, mate.

On the return, the Quebec secuirty guard - who has to comply with TSA standards on flights to the US, and is partially funded by TSA, swiped one of my two bags with the wipe, and threw both on the belt. Guess it was x-rayed, but there was no notice of it being opened. No problemo. :moose:

It goes to North Carolina in 3 weeks, then Florida in November, and again in late December. $10 per ticket I'm paying for increased whatever? :dunce: I'm glad to not be hasseled, but who are they fooling.

Oh yes, the confiscated my cable ties from my carry-on bag. Feel safer? :silly: Fool!

Ahh, the dangerous "restraint device" prohibition.

Many years ago I assisted in restraining a passenger with the headphone tubey thingies (pre-electronic wired versions).

It held him until the cabin attendant came out with the duct tape. The first loop around his neck slowed him dramaticaly.

In recent history, the last ten years, I have only had my tape taken away once, but I always carry the last bit of a roll of silver duct tape, a bit of filament strapping tape, a length of waxed string, bunches of 3" cable ties... and looped around the inside perimeter of my carry-on, two looped 18" cable ties- l.e. hand restraints, essentialy.

I feel much safer.

How come there wasn't a "panty bomber"?

"Sorry, maam, you're going to have to remove..."

So, through all that, did you suck breath #1 out of that bottle? :eyebrow:
