Well I will stay out of the ocal or socal debate as i live in the inland empire away from traffic.A semi-dry is also another option,I dove all winter out here and stayed nice and toasty.

Mo2vation:
Downey claims him, as does Hawthorne. I dunno. Insert any southbay city here, you know? I'm surprised Lawndale (the gateway to PV) hasn't staked a claim yet!

LA, jealous of OCal? Uh, OK. When I grow up, I wanna be the 55/5 interchange, I wanna be El Toro, errr Lake Forest, errr (insert some other ethnically cleansed name here). LA Plastic and Stinky? You're reaching buddy - OCal is home of the amusement park - can you get any more plastic and stinky than Disneyland or Knotts, or more stinky than Japanese Village & Deer park or Buffalo Park? Jealous? Never.

I need to pole-vault over pity, envy and depression to get to jealousy, and I'm not even past pity for OCal yet.

But enough of the border skirmisk. Lets dive.
Okay, lets go dive. You drive to your dirty harbors and take a boat to some distant dive site so you dont have to dive in sand, and I'll drive to the beach where our reefs are in swimming distance from shore.
Who's reaching now? Your using city names and a freeway interchange to base your preference? What about the 5/10/110 interchange? What about the 405/101? Stinky? Try Hawthorne! Disney is it's own world and doesnt count in the scheme of things! Keep reaching yourself!

Mo2vation:
When OCal types evacuate, they go north to So Cal. Duh. Wouldn't you?

LB is just taking their money with an OCal rag, as they pass thru. Its smart enterprise. Think the LA Weekly is available in HB? No way. They're not that bright in OCal.

K
I sure did, moved from San Diego to Orange County. I used to live in Whittier, but couldnt stand L.A.
By the way, the OC Weekly is free! guess your not that bright in L.B. either kinda proves that L.B. is part of O.C. according to your argument :54:

WOW---I feel the Heat-- What I want to know is where in the Inland Empire is there "No Trafic"--- It must be somewhere in the Twilight Zone--- It takes me 50 minutes to travel 25 miles on the 91!

Mo2vation,
You need to ammend your lesson. The 909 is being split off. The part that borders 60 fwy and Lo Cal is going to be the 915. Oh well at least we have a entire freaking mountain between us and OCal :D. Then once they get past the mountain they have to get past places like Lake Elsinore, Perris, Mead Valley, Moreno Valley, Wildomar and certain parts of lower Corona and Chino. However the latter route can be used to circumvent most of the mountain. Even if they do use that route it takes them dangerously close to SoCal borders and skirmishes are likely. They can always attempt a wide land based circumnavigation by taking the 10 or 60 far east and taking super secret ninja-like routes. However that possibilty seems unlikely due to the fact that it is infact super secret and the Lo Cal and So Cal Secret Ninja Defense Team is contstantly working to prevent such information leaks and twart covert navigation attempts. :D.

in fact after I get up there maybe we can plan a winter drop down into my home of oahu and do the dives where i got baptized.

We did a mini tour of Oahu a few years ago. Got a house on winward (in Kailua) and just had a kick it up time for a couple of weeks.

The place totally touched me. We spent time all over the place, did about 7 shows and just had a blast.

You're from Kaneohe? I spent a fair amount of time in the bay. Each morning I'd just roll over to the Kalapawai store, pick up a juice and bike over the the bay.

The guitar players wife grew up in Lanikai. I miss the Moks...

I'm harmless - my border skirmish rantings are just harmless rantings. You'll love it here.

The 91 fwy is indeed a dark, dark place. One must have much courage, strength and detremination to travel the dark path that is the 91 fwy. Either that or guns and an attitude :comeandge grrrr.

Yes, Ken and I actually know each other somewhat and this is all in good clean fun!
You will love it in S.D., although El Cajon is way out in east county, kinda white trash and hot as an m.f. in the summer, but the beach is only 20-30 minutes away (even less if you hop on the 52 to La Jolla.) I used to live in La Mesa. It borders El Cajon on the west.
Let us know when you get here and we can plan a group dive in La Jolla. Ken, I give you permission to pass through O.C. Without stopping though, I am sure you'll like that :happywave

ken,

yeah i live in kaneohe and got certified on the south side, did my "pool dives" and open water dives actually in the ocean at makai pier(thats right across from sea life park just past waimanalo) then my first dive after that was blow hole and I have dove portlock a sick amount of times. Anyways we are waiting for the waves to die down so we can head out to the north side and get some diving done down there, hmm sorry if this is out of the so cal, but i am trying to hype up my home so the so cal guys come visit.

actually i find the whole so cal, lo cal, oh cal, war thing quite amuzing, keep going at it, haha i just don't want to get involved, me i'ma diver not a fighter, unless you take my diving away then in which case I will have to beat somebody down, but other than that yeah i'ma diver not a fighter.

That must be why the small of my back is always hurting me--- It's my Sig P228 and my Surefire light! Dont worry I have a CCWP--- But I still would like that Super Secret Route...
