Thank you

Love the Einstein. Where is that? I'm curious, even though I'll have no clue since I've only been once.

You could have lived on the island your entire life and still not know where the Einstein mural is.

I am glad you asked because this is a very special mural.

It is special both because of the location and the manner in which it was created.

First it is located at a childrens' creativity center. This is an art studio open to all local children in the neighborhood. It is run by an expat couple who have very generously given their time and resources to run the studio.

It is called Casa de la Creatividad Art Power

Anita is an inspiration for the good of humanity. Walkin the walk.. Improving children's lives everyday.

The mural was drawn by a visiting muralist (whose name I forgot).
It was a planned event.
The artist came with a large group from a charitable organization that brought lots of art supplies and hosted a large street party at the end.

The kids were involved in the painting.
It started out as a marker sketch of the highlights and then the kids helped put paint on the wall as the artist manipulated it to the final mural.

It was a very special day and I am grateful to have these people as my friends.

Here are a few pics from that day.

The kids dipped their hands into trays of paint and the slapped their handprints on the wall

Anita is the real deal and they can use any support people can give.
They are always welcoming gifts of art supplies and craft materials.
Check out their facebook page or contact them directly.

Thank you @lionfish-eater for posting this.

I am heading to Coz next week--would like to visit this art centre.

Supporting children's creativity is a wonderful initiative. Thank you for sharing.

Please contact them first before stopping by their location.

They have some specific needs, but all supplies are welcome.

I know all are welcome to visit, but it would be best if you contact them first to arrange a time to visit.
