I may be open for this. If I can make it, I can provide a boat for shuttling people and/or gear. I have some camping gear, but no tent or sleeping bag. I'm available most weekends, Saturday works best for me.

Something I have never got to experience before, is sitting around a campfire on a beach. Is camping like that possible from around there? And if not there, anywhere else close for the public? Also, I see the folks doing the shuttle service used a ATV gator. Is this a permit restricted thing, or do folks routinely ride their ATV's out there? Something tells me, it's more than likely prohibited.

Across the inlet at Ft McRee there are often boats that beach up on the leeward side of the peninsula and they have camp fires.

I have a portable fire pit also.

I talked with Hal, the owner of the shuttle, and he is running as long as there is interest to go to Ft. Pickens and the feds allow him to go. I don't care how cold it gets, I have a 6.5 semi-dry, lets put something together. I don't care if it is a morning, an afternoon, or an overnight thing. Lets put something together that is fun. Anyone game?

I'm game. I'll be at VortoberFest Oct 17-19, but can swing some time to spend the day at Ft. Pickens some other weekend.

Sounds good Paul. PM me or start a thread when you want to go.
