Hi there, I am planning on going to do a few dives in Moalboal next April. Can anyone suggest any great dive shops with well knowledged guides, I have mostly seen that the most popular well reviewed ones are Savedra and Cebu Fun divers.

Savedra --more active groups with a 7:30 outing and the run is right in front of their shop (shore dive). If you bring your own gear, no need to sort out by 7. Phenomenonal sight. People say to snorkel or free dive it but diving allows you to film it and go along the wall for more muck critters. Saw an electric clam...not everyday.

I'm staying at Kasai in a few weeks. Well recommended my by buddy.

We dove with Cebu Fun Divers in February - would pick somewhere else if we go back.

I can highly recommend Quo Vadis. Excellent facilities, Apex shop regs, knowledgeable dive guides.

I am in Moalboal now. I am diving with Sevedra as the manager is a friend of mine I met before she became an instructor and is now an IDC Course Director.

This place has changed for the better so much. Many good places to eat, bakeries, stores to buy food and personal items. ATM's everywhere but not many places take credit cards. The trip from the airport to Moalboal has improved a lot. 3.5 hours during the day is pretty decent.

Yesterday we had several dolphins swimming in front of our dive boat on the way to Pescadore island.
People are seeing thresher sharks on the sardines in the early morning dives. I might do that tomorrow.

The walls have really good soft and hard corals. Turtles this area well known for. I had got a nice video of a 2m long Krait snake on the hunt yesterday. Yesterday at Pescadore island my dive buddy and I told the guide we would stay around 15m depth. So much to see where many other divers are much deeper.

Two days 2 different guides and they are fantastic. Sevedra take people fomr OW to DM over 18 months on training programs that are paid for by Sevedra. The top DM's can go on to instructors sponsored by Severdra. They are turning out top quality local staff.

I had a great experience with Turtle Bay in January. The tops of some of the reefs were damaged, but there is a lot of regrown. Pescando was excellent. There were plenty of turtles of course, some great nudis and some very beautiful corals. The sardines were low down around the coral which was very photogenic. Turtle Bay has its own mandarin fish dive off the jetty and does half mandarin and half night dive at 6pm. As well as very close up mandarin fish we saw a harlequin shrimp, lots offshore and crabs, plus the resident huge green turtle tucked up for the night in his usual cave.

I've asked for one night dive to be done from 10pm. 6pm is really too early.
Had two great dives today Pescadore Island again but this time went south east. Found two lovely octopus in a cavity in a wall around 9m depth.. Very good visibility today could see down past 45m depth.
