Man ... you guys must either be made of money or single! :D No wonder Phil likes you so much.
*checks blood type*... Nope, not made of money.

*checks ring finger*... Hmm, that's odd... *checks tax forms*... Aha! Apparently I *am* still single.

I'm not.

So I must be made of money! Sweet!

In reality, I don't spend money on much other than diving, so I allow myself certain luxuries. This was probably a silly indulgence, since it doesn't really solve any "problems" that I'm having, but what can I say? I'm a sucker for shiny cool things. :)

If you PM me I'll be glad to give you my address so you can buy me a set. I'll try them out in some really cold fresh water for you. Don't you want confirmation that they stay flexible in sub-40 F water?!

Seriously though ... I may splurge and give them a try once they are readily available. I'll let you and CJ report back first. :D

I just ordered a full singles kit (7' primary, 22" secondary, 22" for my Mach V wing, and 32" for my drysuit), so this should be interesting...

At least Phil's prices look better than thiose on the UK site. They really pound it to you.

You know, if I bought a set of hoses like that, it would more than double the cost of whatever set of regulators I installed them on.:D

Hi Phil

Do you know if a tight bend near the hard end fitting is detrimental to the life expectancy of these hoses?

Do these hoses benefit from the rubber strain relief in the area adjacent to the hard fitting, or is not necessary, or recommended, or has it even been addressed?

The main reason I am considering these hoses is to get rid of a swivel elbow that I need for my octopus since it has to take about a 45 degree bend when it leaves the first stage to avoid the tank.

Thanks

Luis

To be honest, I am amazed we are able to keep the prices that low. I am not getting the margin I typically need to keep my business running. That said, I didn't have the nerve to price them any higher.

Luis, these hoses react very favorably to pretty tight bends. I must confess that I didn't test the very issue you mentioned. I will have the samples back in my hands next week, so I will test to see if they tolerate that bend.

Personally, I don't see any need for strain relief protectors on these hoses. I think you will find that the fit of the brass fitting to the hose is more substantial than standard rubber hoses we use.

Thanks Phil

I guess, I will probably going to have to try a couple of them.

Just a thought, have you considered a 90 degree port adapter? Not a swivel, mind you... those are bad. But a simple elbow. They're reliable, unlike swivels, and may solve your issue.

I am not too concern about the reliability of the swivels, but I don’t like the hose moving around.

Where did you find the fixed 90 degree adapter? I haven’t seen that type of adapter. Do you have a link to a web site where they are available?

Thanks
