As someone who took the official Dry suit class. And was thankful that I didnt have to pay for it. I thought it was a waste of money. It sounds to me like your "DIVE GUY" is just looking out for his main interests his pocket book. But that is just my opinion and my opinion only. There are any number of Good diver with good dry suit abilities that would take the time and dive with you to make your experience as safe and fun and enjoyable FOR FREE at the Meet n Greet. As I have said before You dont have to come to meet and greet to dive. I will be lucky if I dive at all this year I havent decided.

I can't remember where a certain Mitten Diver got his initial drysuit course.

Ted, you are going to be equipped better than me in one respect this year. My canister light battery is fried and I am not replacing it prior to meet and greet due to funds. So, you will have a canister light there and I won't. I will be using my older halogen light which should work just fine for quarry diving as I don't often need a light in there.

Denny isn't old. He's refined.

Hey TG, you just made my "great buddy" list; not only that, you also earned an extra piece of kielbasa. Would you like horseradish with that?

Ted, I know you were kidding; however, you just lost 1 point for that comment---it went to trucker girl.:D

Allendale is where the Grand Valley State campus is about half way between Grand Rapids and Grand Haven. I'm an older returning student at GV. I'm originally from Chicago through.

Well, this may be my first time without an instructor but I do still feel pretty confident as my open water dives were only about three weeks ago. So at least a lot of it is still fresh in my mind. (Although my mind might be mush by the weekend of Gilboa since it is the weekend after finals. lol)

No problem with diving. I'll do a dive or two with you if you'd like. Gonna be cold, but should be fun.

Yeah we might want to be careful we dont want to scare them before they get there.

and about the "OLD" statement you know I'm just kidding with you buddy.
Why do you think I snuck in during the night for my first meet?

And let me tell you, I think it was a darn good idea...They tame a little in the morning...

Just a little taste of what's to come.:D:D:D

Denny - I haven't had your sausage yet...I am definitely going to have to get there on time! Is this a Saturday treat? Or is that already too late?

My guess would be that if you wanted to try Denny's sausage he would save a piece of it for you to claim at any time during the Meet N Greet. Maybe he will hold it with some tongs while you eat it.
