Yeah it will be held at Gilboa. June 2-4. Check out the web site
These events are always lots of fun, and a great way to find out what it is like to dive dry. They usually have other equipment there to demo- one year they even had ffms with com systems.
It can be very crowded is the major down side. I have missed the past 2 years, but the last one I was at had over 500 people in attendance.
OMG! I cannot imagine 500 people at Gilboa...parking lot will be packed! I'm checking it out seems like there's lots do do...sounds fun!
Thanks for the info. and the link:05:

Wish I could make it out, but I'm not sure I could survive another weekends' worth of wet April/June dives at Gilboa! Perhaps by next year, I’ll be into dry. Nevertheless, hope you have a good time. :)

I've been looking at diving Gilboa. Can anyone join this?
I'm from Ann Arbor and usually dive Portage and White Star (as well as the Lakes).
Not dry yet but got c-card in 43 degree water.

Come on down Eeyore! Everyone and anyone is welcome!

FYI it sounds like we all know each other because we met at past meet-n-greets. For the most part we were all strangers without scubaboard. Next meet-n-greet you'll be chatting it up here as one of the gang :D

I'm planning on going and I'm diving wet. 7mm suit with a 7mm vest/hood, ice boots and 5mm gloves.

Anybody who wants to come is welcome. All of us were strangers once (some are still a lot stranger than others). Gilboa is not to far from Portage or Whitestar. The quarry itself is a bit deeper, and has more stuff sunk in it.
We'll have a fire and soup and a tent with a heater in it to take care of all of you wet ones. You can usually find us at the far end of the campground.

Just follow the drive around the quarry and you'll find us where the road ends :D

PS Absolutely do not go faster than the posted 5mph speed limit, the owner (Mike) is really picky about that.
