If you don't have Google Earth then you should get it. It has some fantastic features. Recently, google updated the high resolution imagery, and Hawaii is fairly well covered now. I have created a set of placemarks for Maui shore diving. There are two sets of placemarks - one for dive shops and one for shore dive locations. Each placemark shows the place name and location and a link to pertinent information. To use the placemarks, you can either download the placemarks to your computer, or use a link to them. I'll be updating them as time goes along. Enjoy!

Using the link is simple -- first open Google Earth.
In the menu select "File" -> Open
Paste this URL in the "File name:" box
http://msh-co.com/Maui_Diving_Locations.kmz
Click "Open" and you're done!

If you want to download the placemarks - paste this URL in the Address bar in a browser window:
http://msh-co.com/Maui_Diving_Locations.kmz

A dialog will prompt you for a location to save to. NOTE - -BE SURE THE FILE NAME IS
Maui_Diving_Locations.kmz AND NOT Maui_Diving_Locations.zip

The file name is not important - but the extension is -- Google Earth will not recognize a ".zip" extension!

Now open Google Earth.
In the menu select "File" -> Open
Browse to the location of the "kmz" file and select it.
Click "Open" and you're done.

Very cool that they added some new high-res of Maui! Looks like they got part of the North Shore and Kihei on there this time around.

Great job with the bookmarks!

The Turtle Town link is a good one... notice the snorkel boats out there? They're the better part of 800 feet off the beach. Reinforcing what we hear on the board frequently, that many of the boat dive sites are accessible from the shore.

If you wanted to add one more, I think the Makena mooring buoy is visible at 20°39'12.19"N / 156°26'33.35"W
