Hey, what do you guys do about splotches on your mask, if anything?

I tried micro-fiber glasses cleaners, but no effect. Toothpaste?

When I look through the mask I do not see any splotches or lack of clarity.

I use dish soap, warm water and paper towel. Why the issue?

Those look like mineral deposits from water spots. Try a solution of warm vinegar/water.

I also use Sea Buff or a gritty toothpaste with a sonicare toothbrush.

Dry your mask. Don’t let water dry on the lens. That is what has caused those mineral deposits.

if it's doing its job why fix it?
Next time you're at Gekodivers have a look at Kanox' mask... I wouldn't even put my left foot in it, though he can spot nudibranchs I don't see although he's pointing them for me.

This made me chortle.
