Following in the Genius and Sirius footsteps, the Quad Ci.

Like it's sibs, the Quad Ci is AI and runs Buhlmann with custom GFs with a maximum GF of 90. It has SurfGF and supports trimix. It is considerably less expensive than the Genius and Sirius, just under the price of the Shearwater Peregrine TX.

From the manual: custom GFs, AI, compass, 5-gases, and trimix. A serious offering at that price point.

This might be a really good option at that price point. Did anyone get to try it?

It will lock you out if you make it sad.
There is no good reason you should miss a deco stop and put the computer into violation gauge mode.

I have been diving an Oceanic VT3 since 2010 as one of my computers, 1995 dives and 2095 hours, has never been in violation gauge mode (been sad 😭)

Flooding a dry suit with 33 degree water might have me violating a stop....

I agree completely, but that's no excuse for computer to throw up its hands and stop working, especially since there are other types of user error than actually blowing off required deco that can have the same result.

I started this thread because I found the Mares Quad Ci an interesting new entrant into the AI computer market at a moderate cost. It is not an attractive computer for my use, I am happy with my Teric.

Besides lock out for missed deco stop, the only other lock out I find in the manual is for very significant ascent rate violation and that lock can be disabled by the user. Do you find other mechanisms for lock out?

The deco stop lock out is fairly typical, but an alternate/emergency GF setting is offered that may avoid the lock out in some circumstances. It is described in the manual.

Like @Hendrix I would like to hear from someone with experience with this computer. It has many unusual personal settings.
