March in Cozumel 2010

I dove every day last week (that the port was open) in a 3 mil. full suit, and a 3 mil hood. By the end of the week, I was getting pretty darn cold. My wife uses a 5 mil. and 3 mil hood and she was getting a little cool too. Ugh! it sucks to not be in Coz. :depressed:

Trying to get some 2 tank afternoon dives together for 2pm Thurs 3/25, Friday 3/26 and Saturday 3/26. If there are enough of us we could probably choose dive site. Prefer Blue XTSea but I'm flexible.

We could probably do one or two days with you. Keep in mind the 2nd afternoon tank would probably be more like a twilight dive though. We'd have to check with Christi to confirm that.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback... I generally tolerate colder temps well but I plan on doing a lot of diving so better safe than sorry! I'll bring a shorty & a long.

Personally, I have been diving CZM for years and I never dive in less than a full 3 mm suit year round! But then I don't like being even a little chilled!... Hey, I guess I'm just a pansy! This time of the year I will probably even wear a hood or (more likely) a 1 mm hooded vest under my 3 mm..The water (to me) is still a bit cool!.... Like I said, I hate being cold! I have seen lots of people jump in with nothing more than trunks and a T-shirt on, though, and they seemed to do just fine! It's really a very individual thing.... I noticed on your profile picture you are in a dry suit!... Uh, that may be overkill! LMAO.. Looking forward to meeting you there!

I think the water temp in that picture was around 52 degrees.. Boy am I ready to dive WET and warm! Oh, and in clear water.. Something we don't have a lot of here in Texas. It'll be great to meet everyone!

Common 22nd.. Hurry up and get here!

Sue and I will have to miss the get together at the Mission tonight, we are stuck in DFW after a plane delay due to our plane at Ohare flying into a flock of geese and having to turn back for an emergency landing. All is well but it delayed us for a couple of hours and we had to change planes, I guess the first one was covered in feathers? Anyways, by the time we got to Dallas we missed are connecting flight to Cozumel and now are flying into Cancun and doing the ferry ride. We won't get to Cancun until around 7:15 P.M. so a 7:00 P.M. dinner in San Miguel is out.

We'll be diving tomorrow though and see ya'll at Wet Wendy's on Saturday. Sue's a little frazzeled, something about fire trucks lining the runways? I've medicated her now and she's better. Tequila works fast.

We missed you guys last night!!!! But I guess you got your tequila fix anyway!! Looking forward to meeting you Saturday at Wet Wendy's!

Winds shifted a hours or two ago .... it's not pretty right now. We can see lots of waves & whitecaps from our balcony, and the waves are crashing into the shore.
