Male or Female Dive Buddies?

I'll dive with anyone who wants to be safe and have fun underwater looking at all the creatures. It doens't matter to me.

I have found that others tend to judge abilities based on gender before they see you dive. One guy said to my husband, "I guess you are lucky to have your wife come along with you on these dive trips." I also have seen the women diving in full makeup who suddenly are incapable of carrying their own tanks. Both of those examples are not in my 'favorites' categories.

I typically dive with guys because there are not near as many women in the cold water arena as there are in the warm.

Does Pennsyvannia have cold water???
