I bet you could take your tank down to an auto body shop and get a really cool design! If you really want to stick out I think that would be the way. I have never seen a cool design painted on a tank..

Here's something I hate on a tank:

That net aint even tied off at the top like its supposed to and Id suspect not at the bottomn either...
And Ill keep my black net on my very yellow tank, thank you very much. It does infact protect the tank from the little dents and scratches that bust your paint off and leave the metal unprotected (steel tank)

I use the netting on the tanks only while transporting them. It keeps them from getting scratched up and makes them easier to handle. Skipper

Aesthetics on a dive tank are futile.

Shot blast aluminum or hot dipped galvanized steel are timeless.

I did this to mine, but I own a vinyl cutter so I can replace the decals whenever they get messed up. So far they are holding up pretty well even with student abuse.

I work in a vinyl sign shop and put this design on one of my tanks.

I draw this simple pattern with a paint pen around the shoulder of all of my tanks. Easy to spot mine from a pile of tanks across the room, and yet if I ever sell the tank, someone else isn't going to be stuck with my initials all over the tank.

Yep.

Scratches gives tanks character.

Nice clean tanks are tanks of non-divers

He who dies with the most scratched, beaten, broken toys,.........wins.

Plain Aluminum or galvinizing. I did add some white appliance epoxy on top of the aging and broken galvanizing of my old stl 72's though. Some of it's still there.

Fancy graphics are for "Trailer Queens". Give me stone chips from the track.

I was at a drive shop recently looking at tanks. They had one that was chrome. Like looking in a mirror. Special ordered for a new diver. I guess he wants to attract something.

Maybe he wants to take off his BC, turn the rig around and check his appearance.
