Here is some additional info:

Si-tech sells modular solutions to include dry glove systems that integrate with a drysuit by having wrist cuff rings installed either at time of manufacture of the drysuit, aftermarket by a dive shop, or by the individual owner themself. In addition, some of the si-tech dry glove systems can be used without integrated wrist rings. Here is a breakdown:

Si-Tech Rubber Cuff Ring - as the name implies this is a rubber ring that is meant to be glued/bonded to the drysuit sleeve cuff that allows for rubber or latex drygloves to be stretched over them and held in place by either friction or by adding an o-ring for extra security.

Si-Tech Slaggo cuff- this is a new product from Si-tech that seems to have been released this past season. It is a round cuff wring designed of more flexible material than their other wrist cuff ring sytsems and is an attempt to make user/field replaceable wrist seals even easier to replace. It has mixed reviews and SI-Tech has yet to release a product to work with this wrist cuff system...Waterproof has released the Ultima Soft which is a product similar to the Ultima DGS specifically designed to work with the Slaggo Cuff system.

Si-Tech Quick Cuff - This is a round wrist ring system that is designed to be glued/bonded into the drysuit sleeve. One of its primary functions is to enable the use of user/field replaceable wrist seals made from either silicone or latex. Its other primary function is it allows the following dry glove products to be integrated with it:
1. Quick Glove - this system uses a press fit attachment with a rotating ring that separates the glove ring from the wrist ring.

2. Glove Lock - this system uses a bayonet type attachment where the glove ring slides on to the wrist ring and then the user turns the outer locking ring until it snaps/locks in position to lock the glove ring in place. To separate, the lock ring is turned the other direction and then the glove ring can be pulled free from the wrist ring.

Si-Tech QCS Oval - This is an oval wrist ring system that is designed to be glued/bonded into the drysuit sleeve. Again the primary functions are to enable use of user/field replaceable silicone or latex wrist seals and to allow for the following dry glove products to be integrated with it:
1. Antares - this product was purposely made to integrate with the Si-tech QCS oval wrist rings. It maintains the oval shape of the system when used. ***The Antares glove ring system is not recommended due to many people being dissatisfied with the how the product performs***.

2. Virgo - This is a new product that Si-tech came out with a couple of seasons ago to replace the Antares glove rings. It uses the QCS Oval wrist rings but it changes their shape to be round instead of oval. The glove rings essentially function the same a the Glove Lock system with the main modification being that the lockring is on the part that is installed on the wrist ring instead of it being on the glove ring as it is on the Glove Lock rings.

The Waterproof Ultima DGS is designed to seamlessly integrate with the Si-Tech QCS Oval wrings, but like the Virgo setup it converts the ovals to round.

*****The Quick Glove, Glove Lock, and Waterproof Ultima DGS can all be used without a Si-Tech wrist cuff ring system installed if desired. They would be attached to a latex wrist seal using included parts.

It may be possible as well to attach the Virgo system to a latex seal but I could not specifically tell from the product literature and pictures.

The Antares can only be used with the QCS Oval wrist cuff setup.

The Kubi system can be glued into a suit or attached to pre-installed latex wrist seals. The glued in setup allows one to have user/field replaceable wrist seals and I have have heard that this setup works better with latex wrist seals than silicone although both can be used (from what I have been told).

Hope this helps.

yup - silicone is murder on the oring lube with wax
Since they are do for a lube job anyway, I'll clean them up nice and try a little zipper wax on them and see how that goes.

How do you like the smart seals?

I hijack. Smartseals are great, quite unobtrusive, easy to change and reliable. Glove rings are nice too, but they are a bit bulky like all glove rings. I like my drygloves directly attached to smartseals, without the seals.

With reference to the Slaggo system, Si-Tech is still developing the dry gloves but they started presenting them at fairs despite they are not yet for sales under the name of "Neva"
It seems a very simple system, just a latex seal over the ring.

Sounds like a very limiting system requiring the user to only use gloves with a latex cuff...almost as if sitech did not completely think it through and just rushed to market with a product to match another product they seemed to not think through (slaggo cuff rings) and rushed to market for no apparent reason. Good thing Waterproof already came out with the Ultima soft to use with the slaggo rings.
