I guess you want the lesson on the LP inflater hose now? I'm not GUE or DIR . I'm straight up hog rig and have lots of dives to prove it. I learned this lesson the hard way and when I see dangerous advice given I tend to jump on it with both feet. I like the diver who started this thread and I can't stand some of the divers that gave bad info. they always speak before they know, as you have.

Excuse me? Why do I need a lesson on the LP inflator from you? Again with your arrogance.

When you jump in feet first, make sure you don't land directly on the head of the diver asking the question. Your crass way of 'teaching' or 'giving' advice leaves a lot to be desired.

Did I give dangerous advice? You can't stand me? Do you even know me? Where did I speak before I know? Just proves what kind of guy you are.

Thanks, Nova.
I don't do caves so I'm using a 5 footer for recreational purposes. Don't think it'd work for me.

Safe dives . . .
. . . safer ascents !!!

Wow, we've progressed to "any diver with a know-it-all attitude is DIR" have we?

No, not at all.

novadiver:
That's one of the problems with yoke first stages. It won't allow routing in a streamlined way because of the LP ports go around the whole first stage. instead of being grouped to allow all hoses to route down

Hogwash again! Most first stages can be had or fitted with either yolk or din so whether it's yolk or din has no effect on where the ports are located.

Of course some regs lend themselves better to clean hose routing than others but it has nothing to do with being yolk or din.

Nice try hollywood, did you see anything in my profile that lead you to beleave that I don't know what I'm talking about?

Keep up the fashion show

novadiver:
you seem sure about that. good luck. feel free to run that long hose right over the top of the wing and then pull tight and tuck the hose any way you want. seeing is beleaving.

I'm very sure.

I'm not here to teach, and I'm not here to arGUE ( pun on GUE) The class I'm referring to is any tech class. they will cover all hose routing, and the reason behind it.

Oh and I've taken a few tech classes...and taught a few. I even have a few dives under my belt but I still have trouble figuring out where you get this junk from.

Nice try round hill (LOL), I never said you don't know what you're talking about. Open your eyes and your ears this time. Learn a different approach.

Keep up the arrogance

I have routed it both ways and have never had an issue with gas trapping. In fact I almost mentioned in a previous post that the hose coming off of a Apex DS4 when routed over the wing will crumple it somewhat... but decided not to since it really isn't an issue when the wing is not fully inflated. At any rate... it doesn't trap gas on one side of my wing.

Nova telling MikeF how to do things? This is top quality entertainment..
