Whose defending any situation? Ive been in business 7months and have a great response so far, I have had people drive from St. Louis because they heard from a friend how great we are...and they inturn have sent me others.....LP in no way shape or form has hindered my sales or growth in any way. But I do like having the confidence, while priced as low as I can, to be able to tell people I have the same price as anywhere they will shop, plus the other incentives they get with fun, service, packages, specials, etc.

Yes, some LDSs do complain to much about LP, but those are the ones that are giving bad customer service, selling there products for too much, basically doing things wrong, thats what pushes there customers to go the LP route.....As I said before some of the Gray Marketers have done great for themselves by selling to LP, they got there higher discount volume buying levels, made money selling to LP, and allowed themselves to be very succesful for it....Some will do whatever it takes to grow there business, We are growing and having alot of fun......with our customers who mean the world to us! Money isnt my motivator.....Fun is my motivator and thats what is making us successful.....

If you give enough people what they want, you will get what you want.......Thats our business philosphy......

For the short term if LP became an Authorized dealer for everything they sell, they would still enjoy the appearance of lower prices. This is because they HAVE been selling at such low prices for so long that people automatically think if it's online it's cheaper.
As always, just my $.02

Well, unlike most dive shops, you are ahead of the game there.

You can compete with their online sales directly. http://divesitescuba.storesecured.com/

Thank you Dive Right In Scuba for clarifying this question in my absence. YES, we are working with Leisure Pro to become an Authorized Oceanic Dealer. It is not official at this point. When Leisure Pro complies with all dealer requirements, they will be added to the web site and eligible to offer all Oceanic Warranty and Service Programs.

Now, can we talk about the Cozumel DataMask demo trip that I just returned from? :D

Dive Right In Scuba:
How was the trip :D

Sorry to hijack the thread, but since you asked;) - it was great. We had enough masks on hand for most everyone to get in 6 dives with the mask, including the boat crew. I have done a lot of these things, even if it's bringing the latest gadget on a personal trip, and I have never seen such a positive reaction. Usually, someone will try something new for a dive and hand it back with a positive comment, but wanting to go back to what they're used to. There is no doubt that this product has a cool technology factor, but I can tell you that each time I dive it I get a greater appreciation for it's practical value. Night dives, ascents and safety stops will never be the same again.

I'll leave you all to the discussion at hand...

Doug, in the immediate timeframe, where Leisure Pro is attempting to "come in line", are you shipping them product directly?

Guys!
If you can’t get Doug to tell the truth let me know and I will have to breakout the pictures from this past weekend in Cozumel... What happens in Cozumel stays in Cozumel well only if the price is right… just kidding Doug!

I would like to thank Doug and Darryl for their help this weekend in Cozumel, I think it was a big success and everyone seems to have loved the new Datamask as a matter of fact we have pre-sold 9 of them just from the folks on the trip!
We had a great time!

Thanks

Joe
