Get a Seaskin nova Drysuit. It’s the price of 2 quality wetsuits.
First of all, you say that as if they are not good quality. Is that what you meant? From what other members have said, my impression is that they are good quality. They will be one of the first companies I look to for a dry suit in the future.

Second, I can buy three sets of AL80 doubles for the price of a Seaskin Nova… So with one set of AL80s I have a lot left over for diving and gas fills before I’m even with the price of that Nova. That’s a lot of practice, muscle memory, and experience I wouldn’t have otherwise.

No…I’m waiting on my Nova to ship. You most likely won’t always be using AL80’s, so might be a good idea to get a Drysuit so you can transition to different cylinders and before prices go up. I think mine was under $1,100 shipped and got pretty much every upgrade and option available.

Oh, gotcha. I’m sorry, I misunderstood you. I hope you enjoy your new Nova! $1,100 is incredible… I thought they were $1,500+ without shipping, and even that is really low. I might be able to do that sometime this year. Good to know, thanks. I went through their whole website and build info, etc. I’ll look into this more.

That’s not including undergarments, but you can get custom cut undergarments from them for like $150 ish I think.

Yeah, I think you and your spatially non aware likers missed the arm and leg
bends I sew into my suits so I don't have to fight the neoprene, way brilliant

and remember most divers, especially this op guy aren't going anywhere near
neoprene crush depth ever, and if your wing blows up, bad luck be redundant

Except when you get to depth, the suit is crushed, and your wing fails.

That’s not true for hard neoprene, in the photo wearing 7+7mm wet suit of hard neoprene, heavy twin steels and no wing and no weight belt your slightly positive on the surface, neutral at 10 feet and only about 3 pound heavy at 45 metres. Obviously it’s not what the OP wants.

So not neutral at the end with empty tanks. What a great way to be when you’re holding a deco stop.

More bad advice. At least we can all see guys like you coming a mile away with your nonsense.

Is it really needed to remind again that this is the DIR forum and that DIR philosophy is based on the end of doing advanced cave and deep tech dives (so deep that neoprene crush is an issue)? I mean, are you really continuing like that?

Good luck man

The problem is that a lot of divers post in the DIR section when they should post in the Hogarthian's.
So if people post "non-DIR" answers it is just because the question is not only DIR specific even if it posted in the DIR section.
And regarding DIR, I have the feeling there is a tendency to put GUE as the quintessence of DIR which, of course, it is not :)
Wow, looks like I am becoming anal and having a moment of "wait, someone is in wrong on the Internet"moment :) :) :)

@jale, you raised an interesting point. Despite the risk of going OT, could you outline quickly the differences between Hogartian, DIR and GUE ?
