Twomixdiver:
The photon torpedo sounds interesting. Any improvements over the Barry Miller lights?
Hi Two mix
The Photon is essentially a robust scout with two O-rings, thus it is still within DIR recommendations, while offering some additional flood protection. The on/off action of the PTs feels nicer to me as well.

The Salvo units (while nice) have an external switch which is frowned upon in DIR. (not passing judgments here, just relaying info).

That said, I'm happy to order Salvo's if someone should want them.

Hey Jim, popcorn time?

Jagfish, do you have any cheap thigh pockets for wetsuits? I need 4 for two wetsuits. maybe DIRzone brand? The one's out here in HK cost about US$50 each. any cheap 150' delrin spools?

The way it was explained to me was that the switches have small o-rings that will wear out over time and eventually lead to a leak since you generally cannot lube them or change them, but the twist-ons have a tendency to turn on at depth by themselves.

Why'd you need 4 or 2 each wetsuits? going coral collecting?

Might need 2 spools, by elderly Diverite is getting past it.

FedHammerhead deliveries at your service.

Cheers,
