But do they allow any Cussin' , Spitin' & Belchin' at those places ????

So what are we looking at money-wise per person?

I hope this does not get too high for me. Normally it's not an issue, but I just bought all the wife's gear, so the taps are a bit dry atm.

Layne, Brandon, and Charlie & Donna are planning to camp out, John originally planned on camping ($10-12/night), so I don't think we'll have enough to share the $760 for the Brady House, even IF it's available.

So you're looking at 350 plus tax and gas, say 425 or so by 6 or 7 divers.....
60-70 bucks for all the diving you can get done in a day and a half + ~20 bucks for camping.

Okay, that's cool.

As lame as it sounds, I have a budget of about $150 for the trip. :(

Well assuming I pay my mortgage before we go... :D

hahaha

I think Tony beat me to this; but here goes.
There is the Spillway Resort and Marina. They are right down the road from Brady Mountain. Gena and I drove between Brady and the Spillway for our weekend events at the beginning of September. It's an easy drive between the two locations.

The spillway is located right next to the dam. The State Park is just to the east of the dam. I still don't have any prices. I think this is the same location as Tony describes above. I hope this helps. This is all of the information I have.

Crystal Springs might be another possibility to look into.

You are correct, John, 'cept I called the toll free number.

Spillway Marina recommends a 30' boat for 6 or 7 divers...they don't do 24 hour rentals, or rent to folks camping on islands, told her we'd be at Brady Mt. Resort and campgrounds.
It would be a day(205) plus half day(145) rental cost... i.e. 8am sat to noon sun
$350

EVA said she was closing soon, but will be open 9-5 tomorrow..

K-Valve, I left a message on your voice mail, but here's the info if you check in here first. Like Richerso said, it's close; about 8 or so miles by road and 2 or so miles by water from Brady Mountain.

OK, so my current interpretation: Looks like we can get a boat at the Spillway. Gena and I are still planning on bunking with the group. At this point, that sounds like we're back at the Firehouse. I think this is what's happening.

Just did some research on Crystal Springs Resort and Marina. They do rent boats at this time of year; but they don't rent pontoon boats and for the mansionboats they do have, the prices are not diver friendly. :shocked2:

Oh well.
Welcome to Crystal Springs Resort

Well, the verdict is finally in on the Foo clan, we will be unable to make this trip. Bummer, but yall can manage to have a big time without us, I'm sure... sniff...

We may be able to make it out to CSSP one day that weekend, but are unable to be gone all weekend. I will be wearing my 7mm at CSSP in your honor. Happy and safe diving!

The 30 footer at Spillway is 205/145... 15 cheaper, available, and a lot closer, also will be big enough for 6 or 7 divers. I talked to John today and gave him the info. He's been pretty busy, and hadn't checked in on the scubaboard.
