We may have overlooked a couple of very important items...
Has anyone made contact with the AMish? Surely you dont expect us to cook, clean, prepare baths etc, ourselves??
In the alternative... did someone say Daisy is running around these parts????
And finally, have the Kunks been properly prodded into making the trip????
Just random thoughts, begged, borrowed and stolen...

I'll try to get a hold of Daisy but you know how Hippie Chicks are. I may not be able to even find her anyplace. She has a really nice Martin Guitar and she always has it with her so I be she'd like to come play a few tunes.

yep... I can feel you're pain myself. ' Wish you and TexDanceDude were going to be around . ' Almost doesn't seem right....... Oh well.......
got a hold of Daisy :blinking:.... She says, " no mule drivin' for her !! " ( she is Amish Reform)
........ What ever that is.
She hung up on me..... Now she's mad

Come on, Zzz...it's not like we're leaving tomorrow morning! You have a week+ to convince your wife to let you out of the house!
Getting out of the house isn't the problem. It's getting back IN that may be a hard sell. She DID let me put down money on a week of diving off a sailboat out of Freeport, Bahamas in late November so I'll just have to make do till then.

Just thought I'd chime in real quick... I've been keeping quiet b/c I won't know if I can go till perhaps a day before as I'm scheduled to work on the Fling, however there is a really good chance that trip will not go for lack of passengers/weather or both.
If I am able to come I'll be sleeping on a cot, whether camping or indoors, no bed needed anywhere regardless. Should be excellent camping weather in AR that time of year!
Also, for the ATX crowd traveling up w/ John...
Whether I go or not, I'd be happy to fill or top off everyones tanks for the trip, so don't go paying for air fills if you haven't already.
That said, ya'll are welcome to meet at my place on Friday for air fills before heading out. If I can't go, I will not leave for Freeport till 2pm so there is plenty of time to fill your tanks before you leave.
Also, the toll-road (45) is right down the road from my place (on 620) for a quick route out of town. I'll follow this thread and keep in touch with John regarding my status and your trip.

That is so nice to top off the Austin 4 tanks. You said that any of us can contact you before Friday to arrange getting air. That is so cool.
The Austin 4 plan is that John will drop off the Scuba Trailer at my house. Everyone loads at Noon at my place, I will feed everyone and as soon as John gets there we will leave for Arkansas. Plenty of room in front of the house to park for the weekend.
We will stop at HEB for food and drink on the way.
See everyone next week. Zinc is going to make it by the way.
