welcome to the world of internet chat forums!

tomorrow: we discuss whether the gold line at Peacock should be
so close to the entrance

Soggy, did you slam the guidelines of accident analysis in cave class? What was your instructors thoughts on the guidelines of accident analysis and cave diving?

if it's stupid and it works, it ain't stupid

If there are easily conceivable circumstances where it won't work

you don't know that. you're assuming that it won't work, or that it will work
better with doubles.

in fact, as i keep saying, if you have a significant loss of air at the edge of your
penetration, either with doubles or singles, you're gonna be in trouble.

yaddda yadda yadda... we've already gone through this argument like three times...

there is a MUCH GREATER danger which is for students to over-step their
training and ability in doubles and not be able to get themselves out. that's
a far greater danger, as borne out by the fact that not a single student
has died wearing a single in the last 15-20 years, yet students wearing
doubles have died since.

at the very least, i will agree with you that which tank is worn is really
irrelevant. there are other factors which are much more important.
stop fixating on this single-tank bugaboo.

again, spin all you like
