Komodo water temps in Central/South Central/South sites in late Sept/early Oct?

I meant, if I can't have Raja Ampat (and currently I can't ), I've found the place for me. Unfortunately, no mantas though there's dugongs, not that I've yet been fortunate enough to see one.

There is a hint there, I think, for those who had been there

In Belize they're called manatees.

If you want to swim with manatees, go to Crystal River in Florida. Guarantee you'll see plenty of them. Don't need to go all the way to Belize. Just like to see whaleshark in Isla Mujeres in Mexico in the summer time. But the water is cold, down to 68F (20C). I wore 5mm with hood. Those manatees come to the spring to warm themselves in the winter time. I was there in February time, where the air temperature was freezing cold (32 F or 0C) but the spring water was still 68F to the point you see steam coming out of the water to warm the freezing air. So, I rather stay in the water watching the manatees than watching them from the boat deck. You'll get tired watching them for the 3 hour tour.

Yep, I dived it day and night three years ago, guided by a japanese wreck specialist (Niko from Baliku divers, located just in front) that was fantastic. Almost all of the spanish dancers had emperor shrimps running around their rhinophores at nighttime, sometimes even a skeleton shrimp hanging on them; Now Niko is gone.
