Took me a while to find out the name of the places that I had stayed in Mae Haad.
Baan Suan Ta and Save Bungalow. No issue whatsoever for someone with simple requirement.

Hot water? Air conditioning? Beachfront?

Also, I prefer Sairee over Mae Haad.

Thanks for correcting me on the 20 divers. I have the money, I will take a speed boat every time.
How much more does the speed boat cost?
My back doesn't allow me to climb the ladder from old fishing boat like Baan.

I’ve seen both Master Divers and DJL help dekit customers in water who had issues claiming up the ladders fully kitted.

Unless they're carrying me up on *their* back, it's not going to work for me. 😄

That's a little pricey, my friend. Caribbean prices in Thailand? Hmmm
I've never been to the Caribbean, but I just googled 'Cozumel dive prices' and the first link gave me $500 for a 10-dive package, not including gear rental, whereas here 12800 THB for the same works out to $360 and includes BCD, wetsuit, regulator and fins, although not a dive computer. Normal prices on Tao are 1000 THB per dive, with bulk diskcounts and your own equipment bringing it down to 700-800/dive, so this is a ~50% premium.
