Suggestion Kiwi forum

Kia Ora Netdoc and Staff

Myself, a kiwi, and a few other Kiwis have for some time now been discussing the fact we have no New Zealand Forum.

We would like to formally ask you for a New Zealand Forum where we can discuss local diving and for potential visitors to ask and receive advice about our fair land and oceans, without getting confused by our being tucked in the Australian Forum.

Kiwi’s number around 15-20 on Scubaboard, and growing, and we would all appreciate our own forum.
Besides it’s hard sharing a forum, as we currently do, with really crap rugby players (i.e. Australia)

There have been numerous posts about NZ lately and some of us have missed them due to the large amount of countries in the Australia pacific forum.

With our own forum we can catch any questions and queries as well as have local discussions.

No, no; I meant the only posts on the Australia forum will be from tourists.

Few locals seem to use the forum. Maybe the "West Island" doesn't have Internet access?

Could be mate. Mind you their doesnt seem to be that many that are active. TassieRohan and Almitywife are the only ones I see with regularity online

Well it seems that, although I have heard quite a few kiwi’s on board whinging about not having our own forum, they really don’t want one?

I think most of us are too busy diving, working or xmas shoping at the mo to spot this thread and reply. Give it time Azza.

OK. I presume it still works the same as it did when we got the Zen Divers forum.
You need 10 charter members, along with their telephone numbers and contact info which you submit to NetDoc. You need a name for the forum, and a description (also for NetDoc). There was something about a mascot as well I recall but we never did that so I don't think it's so important.

@azza: when i was rallying the filipino divers to get our own forum i PMed every filipino or philippine diver (like happybuddha) i could search for and asked them if they wanted "in"

i passed on the PM with their usernames to NetDoc and voila! we got one!
