BTW, I think the Air & Sea show is that weekend in FT Lauderdale- if so, might be fun to come back up to my neck of the woods for Sunday diving!

I think the Air and Sea Show is a couple weekends later...

AwwwHHH. I was thinking of Oceanfest....
oops...

the air show begins the day i arrive..should be interesting to see..hope to meet up with some of you to see it..

Oh geesh...thats a bummer.. I don't want to be anywhere near the water/underwater that weekend..
The boaters are nuts. You look out over the ocean and see white...as in the horizen is all boats..
however I did do an awesome dive a couple years ago the day before the show, south of the main viewing area, during the surface swim out, and had the Blue angels fly overhead at about 500 feet. They were rehearsing . Very cool!

any decent shorediving in Largo or close by?

yes, its awesome diving....if you can handle the 5 mile swim to the reef :D

:sprite10:

There is no shore diving in Largo that I'm aware of Andy. On a different note, every time I've gone to the Air Sea show, the boats are as close to the shore as the mooring balls of the 1st reef line are (about 1000 ft from the shore). I believe we will have more hastle finding parking or an empty stretch of beach to dive, in Lauderdale by the Sea, than we will have hazzard from boaters.

Does this mean that you guys don't want to go to Key Largo on the 1st?

Rick
